Hi, I’m Sarah Feinberg.
I've spent most of my career building things behind the scenes. For over 20 years, I worked in nonprofit operations, designing the systems and structures that help organizations actually do what they set out to do. It's detail-oriented, methodical work, and I loved it. But creativity has always been part of how I move through the world. Photography. Cross stitch. Sketchbooks full of doodles that never made it anywhere.
The mural work started with my daughter's playroom. I painted it myself, learned as I went, and something clicked. The process of taking a blank wall and turning it into something that belongs to a specific person, in a specific space, felt meaningful in a way I hadn't expected. I've been building Studio Pearl around that feeling ever since.
Every project I take on is fully custom. That means we start with a conversation about you: your space, your taste, what you want to feel when you walk in. I handle the design and the painting, start to finish. No middleman, no handoff. Just a wall that ends up looking exactly like it was always supposed to be there.
When I'm not painting, you'll find me in my garden or navigating life as a single parent by choice to a teenager in Silver Spring, MD. Both things require patience, a high tolerance for mess, and the occasional willingness to completely start over.

A child who falls asleep under a mural painted just for them, colors they chose, a design they helped map out, experiences their room differently. That’s not decorating. It’s a gift that lasts years.
